Emicool gets $245 million refinancing facility with DIB

Emirates District Cooling LLC (Emicool) has inked a $245 million facility for 12-year with Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB)
The company’s current debt and also fund expansion plans will be largely refinanced by the recent deal.

Emicool is a joint venture of Dubai Investments PJSC and Union Properties PJSC.

DB awards €312 million Rastatt tunnel construction project

German Rail (DB) has awarded a €312m contract award to a joint venture of Ed Züblin and Hochtief to build the 4270m Rastatt tunnel as part of the project to enhance the Karlsruhe – Basle corridor for 250km/h operation.

The twin-bore tunnel will be linked every 500m by transverse tunnels. The construction work is considered technically challenging because of the geological and hydrological conditions and the shallow depth to a maximum of 20m. Oiltanking awards $49 million storage tank contract for Texas port facility

Oiltanking Beaumont L.P, a third-party terminal business news situated in the Beaumont/Port Arthur industrial complex in Texas awarded CB&I a contract worth more than $49 million.

Lime Energy wins $180 million utility program

Lime Energy (LIME) announced that it has been awarded a contract award worth $180 million of new utility program business.

Army Corps awards $65.8 million floodgate project in Plaquemines 

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, announced on Wednesday, that a $65.8 million contract award for construction of a critical floodgate in Plaquemines Parish has been awarded to Kiewit-Pittman, a Metairie-based joint venture formed of Kiewitt Louisiana Co. and M.R. Pittman Group, provided the cost among the six bidders competing for the project.

The amount will also be utilized for the demolition of the present structure in Empire as part of the New Orleans to Venice/Non-Federal Levee (NOV/NFL) projects.

BAE Systems receives $335 million contract for Map of the World project

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) has awarded BAE Systems a contract award worth around $335 million to assist form its intelligence products, especially in support of the agency’s Map of the World project.

The work under the contract comprises of assistance in developing the collection, maintenance and utilization of geospatial intelligence data and products. The MoW project is likely to serve as the backbone for the agency’s intelligence analysis and collection efforts, and reflects the agency’s move from static maps to dynamic ones.

Metronom bags Lower Saxony Electric Network contract

German regional operator Metronom after succeeding a Europe-wide tender, has been selected for a contract to manage the Eastern Lower Saxony Electric Network (ENNO) for 10 years from December 2015 by the Lower Saxony Transport Authority (LNVG).

The contract treats 2.1 million train-km per year on the Hannover – Wolfsburg and Hildesheim – Braunschweig – Wolfsburg routes and is scheduled to be signed following the end of a statutory 10-day appeal duration on August 15.

Metronom already performs regional other services on various routes in northern Germany, covering Hamburg – Bremen and Hamburg – Uelzen – Hanover – Göttingen.
