Expression of Interest for Consultancy Services to develop a master plan for Agri Marketing in Nepal
The Agri Business Promotion and Marketing Development Directorate, of the Ministry of Agriculture Development Department of Agriculture, Government of Nepal has issued a request for Expression of Interest for Consultancy Services to develop a master plan for Agri Marketing in the western and mid-western regions of Nepal, from interested consultancy companies/firms. The core objective of this assignment is to generate data based on evidence and to create a long term development plan for each of the development regions on Agri marketing in Western and Mid Western regions of Nepal.

Vendors are required to submit VAT/PAN Registration Certificate, Tax Clearance Certificate, along with an experience of a minimum of years in delivering services for similar assignments. In the event the bid is being made by a consortium or a joint venture firm, a joint venture agreement along with the above mentioned information need to be provided. Supporting documents that need to be provided include description of the company and its employees. In case of JVs details of both/all companies need to be provided and the lead company must be mentioned clearly. Descriptions of assignments of similar nature completed in the past five years, their location, the CVs of key manpower resources who will be actively participating in the proposed assignment   certified by the firm along with a commitment letter signed by each expert need to be provided.

The deadline for the submission of the EOI is 2072-09-24 BS during office hours. If the deadline for submission happens to be official holiday, the last day of submission will be the next working day. The terms of reference are available in the official website. Invitations to submit technical and financial proposals will only be extended to short listed candidates.

The selection process will be based on the Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method in accordance with the Public Procurement Act 2063 and Public Procurement Regulation 2064 along with the procedures set out in the TOR. ABPMDD reserves its right to cancel the project if the same is not sanctioned in time for the RFP to be issued.

Sharjah introduces a new desalination plant worth $120 million

The operations have begun at a new 20 million gallons per day (MIGD) desalination plant at Al Hamriya by Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (SEWA).
The facility costing around AED 446 million ($120 million) was launched by Dr Rashid Obaid Jumaa Al Leem, chairman of Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa) on Sunday.
A project for construction of deep sea water intake and pump house to feed the new plant has also been completed, with the project value of AED 140 million.

OST gets IT shared services contract worth $59.7 million

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the Information Technology Shared other Services – Combined Contracts (ITSS-CC) project costing $59.7 million to OST, a management consulting, integrated information technology, R&D, engineering and services provider. The program will facilitate services across the nation including FAA headquarters in Washington, DC, Oklahoma City, OK and Atlantic City, NJ, centers.

As the part of this technical services program, OST will facilitate continues assistance to the enterprise software application and system maintenance activities. Additional services such as database development and management, service desk support, configuration management, desk support, business intelligence, company data warehousing and system documentation will also be undertaken by OST. USAF signs Lockheed Martin for Minuteman III contract

The contract award for the sustainment of the reentry subsystem for the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) system has been awarded to Lockheed Martin by the US Air Force (USAF).

The contract has an initial value of $109m which involves repair, modification and testing of hardware and software components in the reentry system-reentry vehicle (RS-RV) subsystem. Under the USAF’s Future ICBM Sustainment and Acquisition Construct will be developed to provide a safe, secure and decisive Minuteman III weapon system through 2030.
