The
Dubai Water and Electricity Authority (DEWA) has contract awarded a contract to
construct a new $20 million (Dhs76 million) substation in Jumeirah to
satisfy the increasing demand for electricity in the region.
The new 132/11kV substation is one among the series of development projects held by DEWA to boost up the city’s power capacity.
No specific details were revealed about who the contract was awarded to and the project’s completion date.
The project will raise DEWA’s networks
capacity to transfer electricity to Jumeirah and results in efficient
and reliable networks throughout these demanding areas and assures
continual and stable supply to all the consumers 24/7. Dubai’s
construction plans and goals for economic growth are likely to be
supported by these stations, as they engage the latest digital
substation technologies which is much reliable and efficient in nature,
