The North East GPO Promotion Scheme (NEBPS) envisages to provide following financial supports in the form of Viability Gap Funding to eligible companies for promotion of BPO operations in the NE Region, during the remaining period of 12th Five Year Plan i.e., upto 31.03.2017. About 5000 seats have been planned across NER:
(i) Capital Support (with 5% Performance Bank Guarantee): Up to 50% of one time expenditure incurred on admissible items with ceiling of Rs. 1 Lakh/Seat.
(ii) Training Support: Up to 50% of training expenses with cap of Rs. 6000/- per employee.
(iii) Special Incentives (% of eligible capital support): For units providing employment beyond target (5% to 10%), encouraging employment to women (upto 7.5%) and persons with disability (2%) and promoting local entrepreneurs through consortium (5%).
(No Bank Guarantee is required for Training support and Special Incentives)
Bidding Process
STPI invites RFP for implementation of North East BPO Promotion Scheme (NEBPS) in sealed envelope from any Indian company; either as a single entity or as a consortium who meet certain eligibility criteria which inter-alia includes the following:
(i) Must be registered in India under The Companies Act, 1956 or The Companies Act 2013 (as amended till date), as applicable.
(ii) Should have achieved a minimum average annual turnover during the last 3 financial years, as per number of seats applied for, detailed as under:

An entrepreneur or Society (registered under Society registration Act 1860) can form a Consortium with an Indian Company which is able to fulfil the above financial eligibility criteria.
