Dubai
developer Nakheel has awarded a contract award to RSP Architects, Planners
and Engineers to construct a 620,000 square metre mall in its upcoming
Deira Islands, a new 15.3 square kilometre waterfront destination in Old
Dubai.
The mall will have over 200,000 sqm of
leasable space with shops, cinemas, cafes and restaurants, it will also
have a night market, an amphitheatre for 30,000 people and a harbor big
enough to accommodate large yachts. RSP will look after the design and
supervision of the mall.
Deira Islands will add 40km, covering
21km of beachfront to Dubai’s coastline and will include hotels,
resorts, serviced apartments, mixed-use buildings and waterside homes,
announced in October last year during Cityscape.
As part of its first stage development,
the developer launched 94 hotel plots for sale in March 2014 and
received a positive response from investors.Read complete story at http://www.tendersontime.com/blog-detail/nakheelwards-dhs40-million-new-deira-islands-mall-design-contract-97.php
