Rental
companies Ramirent and Zeppelin have signed a joint venture agreement
to combine resources and competency in a bid to support development of
the world’s longest plunged tunnel - the Fehmarnbelt project.
The €5.5 billion Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link,
connecting the Danish and German coast, is designed to stretch 18 km,
comprising of a four-lane motorway and a double-track rail line. The
construction will commence from the summer of 2015 and likely to be
completed by 2021.tender
The project’s final consortium of
contractors is still to be decided, following which other
subcontractors, including rental companies, can enter bid process to
