Bumi Armada gets USD 1.18bn FPSO offshore contract

Husky-CNOOC Madura Limited (HCML) has issued a Letter of Intent (LOI) to Bumi Armada led consortium selected as the floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) lease contractor for the $1.18 billion Madura BD Field contract award, around 65 kilometres east of Surabaya and around 16 kilometres south of Madura Island, offshore Indonesia.

SAIC bags the OASIS contract

The General Services Administration (GSA) awarded the One Acquisition Solution for Integrated Services (OASIS) contract award to Science Applications Int'l (SAIC).

PKP Cargo to invest $64 million in multi-system locomotives
The European Union’s no.2 rail freight operator by tonnage transported, Poland’s PKP Cargo is to invest nearly about $64 million (200 million zlotys) on 10 multi-system electric locomotives to solidify its position in international business news.

J&P Overseas awards Oman Airport project to WSP

The international contractor Joannou & Paraskevaides (J&P) Overseas Ltd. has awarded Canada-based WSP to work on two airport facilities in Oman and extensive highway works in Qatar.

WSP is will facilitate detailed designs for the Maintenance and Cargo facilities at Muscat Airport and the second is a cargo facility at Salalah Airport, Oman. Boeing receives $296 million initial contract for 12 additional P-8 aircraft

The US Navy has awarded Boeing a $296 million initial contract for the procurement of essential parts for the production of 12 additional full-rate production (FRP) lot 2 P-8A Poseidon multi-mission maritime aircraft.

The aircraft will be utilized by the US Navy and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF).

The recent contract, active through to April 2018, begins the funding for a second batch of FRP jets, consisting eight for the US Navy and four for the RAAF.

MHI gets São Paulo Line 6 systems project

Raytheon gets $309 million for canceled border control contract

The United Kingdom arbitration tribunal associated to a canceled border control contract, awarded $309 million to the Waltham-based defense contractor Raytheon.

In 2010, the government canceled the contract, which was awarded to Raytheon (RTN) in 2007.

The tribunal detected that the U.K. Home Office, the British homeland security department, had unjustifiably aborted Raytheon Systems Ltd., Raytheon's U.K. subsidiary, for default in 2010 and therefore had discredited the eBorders contract. Mudeer Contracting secures as winner of $45 million causeway deal

King Fahd Causeway Authority has awarded the five-year contract worth $44.8mn (SAR 168mn) for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the Saudi Arabia to Bahrain sea link to Kuwait-based Mudeer Contracting Co.

Under the contract award, Mudeer has to execute comprehensive maintenance, examination and operation of the causeway from both the Saudi and Bahraini sides, consisting the facilities associating to the island’s border patrol from October.

DOF Subsea bags $135 million worth multiple contracts

Ghantoot Road Contracting wins Dhs59 million Al Furjan infrastructure contract

DUCL gets six-year PSN contract

Kent Public Service Network (KPSN) has awarded a six-year contract award to maintain a shared network for public other services throughout Kent to Daisy Updata Communications Ltd (DUCL).

NASA awards $120 million Engineering and Science services contract extension

Orion awards Honghua Group $320 million rig contract

Orion Engineering and Management Limited (Orion) has contract awarded Chinese rig builder Honghua Offshore Oil & Gas Equipment (Jiangsu) CO.,Ltd. a deal to construct a semi-submersible drilling rig, with an option to construct three more.

The rig deal worth $320 million, excluding owner-furnished equipment.

The Sales and Purchase Agreement (the “Agreement”) is likely to be signed within 60 days. Meanwhile, Orion has the choice to purchase an additional 3 units of the same particulars from Honghua Offshore under the same conditions at six-month intervals.

CNCEC bags $242 million refinery contract

China-based China National Chemical Engineering Corporation-Haulu (CNCEC) has been ced by the National Refinery Limited (NRL) a contract award worth around $242.135 million of installing its various plants.

TSA awards MorphoTrust $85 million Credential Authentication Technology contract

MorphoTrust USA (Safran) has been awarded a contract to facilitate Credential Authentication Technology (E-CAT) for airports in the United States by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). The $85 million contract award cap covers seven years and will permit TSA travel document inspectors to examine passenger credentials at the checkpoint compared to the existing visual inspection.

MorphoTrust E-CAT automatically scans and checks numerous security components enclosed in a passenger’s identification document to assure it has not been amended or is forged. CTA awards $40 million Brown and Purple line rail work

Raytheon secures $130 million electronic toll collection system contract

Thales bags £3.8 million biometric card contract 

The Home Office has contract awarded Thales a £3.8m contract to facilitate the IT infrastructure underpinning its non-EU foreign nationals permits.

Under the two-year contract the IT security firm will deliver and manage a Public Key Infrastructure Shared other Service (PKISS) to assist the Home Office’s production of Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) cards.
