Mudeer Contracting secures as winner of $45 million causeway deal

King Fahd Causeway Authority has awarded the five-year contract worth $44.8mn (SAR 168mn) for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the Saudi Arabia to Bahrain sea link to Kuwait-based Mudeer Contracting Co.

Under the contract award, Mudeer has to execute comprehensive maintenance, examination and operation of the causeway from both the Saudi and Bahraini sides, consisting the facilities associating to the island’s border patrol from October.

In addition to supervision of bridges and columns, the contract includes mechanical and electrical work on power stations, telecommunications and water desalination plants.
