Raytheon gets $309 million for canceled border control contract

The United Kingdom arbitration tribunal associated to a canceled border control contract, awarded $309 million to the Waltham-based defense contractor Raytheon.

In 2010, the government canceled the contract, which was awarded to Raytheon (RTN) in 2007.

The tribunal detected that the U.K. Home Office, the British homeland security department, had unjustifiably aborted Raytheon Systems Ltd., Raytheon's U.K. subsidiary, for default in 2010 and therefore had discredited the eBorders contract.
