A
leading security contractor once accused for defrauding the government
has received a $190 million contract award from the Department of Homeland
Security (DHS) to facilitate administrative assistance.
According to the Wall Street Journal
reports, the DHS’s U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) the
agency which looks after legal immigration to the country, appointed an
US Investigations other services LLC (USIS) to help perform background checks
got into trouble three years back when a whistleblower claimed the
company was defrauding the government in performing the assigned duties,
later got sued by the Department of Justice. The USCIS official says,
