The
U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) selected Fluor Corporation (FLR) for
the next phase of cleanup at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant (GDP)
in Paducah, Kentucky. Fluor is the main contractor for the management,
integration and execution of the deactivation and post-GDP
decommissioning remediation procedures at the Paducah site. It is
expected that the new contract award will be fruitful in reducing
environmental risks and generate local job opportunities. The
approximate value of the contract, which Fluor reserved in the third
quarter of 2014, is around $420 million over a duration of three years.

diffusion plant’s experience are the advantage we’ve acquired at
Portsmouth and Fluor’s decades of expertise managing and handling
