A’Ibom Govt to Operate Single Revenue Account

The financial leakages and fraudulent activities should be checked for efficient fund management. Single revenue account is operated by the Akwa Ibom State Government for all the monies collected by the Agencies, Departments and Ministers in the state.

This was a part of the decision taken at the meetings held weekly at the State executive Council. At the end of the meeting, it was told by Mr. Aniekan Umanah, who is the state commissioner for communications and information,tender that the decision of operating a single revenue account is to ensure efficient and effective monitoring of the collected monies on behalf of the state government.
