Defence
Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), a unit of Britain’s Ministry of
Defence (MoD) has signed three contracts worth around £2.8 billion with
the public other services provider Amey to manage its estate.
The 'next generation estate' partner programme
is aimed to manage and upgrade defence infrastructure. The Oxford-based
Amey are part of a joint venture along with Carillion and follow awards
for contracts in May offering an overall potential value of £4.5
billion.
An estimated Regional Prime Central
contract by MoD to be worth £435m over the initial contract period of
five years, has been awarded to the JV, which can be extended by a
