The
north Oman off-plot delivery contract award (ODC) by Petroleum Development
Oman (PDO) which was awarded to Galfar Engineering and Contracting Co in
May 2005, has been subjected a variation to contract (VTC) to extend
the contract for another one year from August 2014 to August 2015. The
new contract’s extension value is estimated to be around $100 million.
The recent variation to contract to
expand the contract, the earlier variation of which had been until
August 2014, improves Galfar’s stake and reliability as PDO’s decisive
contractor in the awarded contract to provide support so as to assure
that oil delivery and flows continue to facilitate the sultanate with
its prime source of revenue generation.
This complex project has been conducted
by Galfar in the northern regions of Oman, covering various locations,
including Fahud, Qarn Alam, Yibal and Lekhwair, stretching an area of
more than 200km by 200km, and facilitating maintenance other services in
design, civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation activities.
Task at the massive project includes
supporting oil-production functions, with the scope of work ranging from
wellhead location preparation activity to facilitating flow lines,
pipe-lines and numerous such activities.Read complete story at http://www.tendersontime.com/blog-detail/galfar-retains-100-million-odc-contract-pdo-133.php
