Skanska gets $78 million power plant contract in the U.S

Skanska has inked an engineering, procurement and construction contract award  for a combined power plant with an existing power client in the Midwest region of the United States. The project’s total cost is $127 million, about SEK 825 million. Skanska will incorporate its 60 per cent stake of the project value, $78 million, about SEK 510 million, in order bookings for Skanska USA Civil for the third quarter of 2014.

The Skanska-led joint venture project with Burns & McDonnell, involves the engineering, procurement and construction of a new gas turbine for power generation and a heat recovery steam generator for steam production.
