Statoil
has awarded the Norwegian company, Aibel the contract award for engineering
of substructures for the Hywind Scotland Pilot Park offshore wind farm
in an agreement that is worth around NOK40 million (£3.8 million).
The project’s scope of work includes
Front End Engineering Design (FEED) study and consequent detailed
Engineering & Management Assistance (EMA) phase for the development
of substructures for five new floating wind turbines. The turbines will
be installed off the east coast of Scotland with project completion
