BAE Systems bags Two multi-million Navy contract modifications

The US Department of Defense has awarded separate contracts award to BAE Systems in Jacksonville and in Norfolk for ship repairs and modifications as follows:

BAE Systems tender Southeast Shipyards Mayport, Jacksonville, Florida, is being awarded an $54,698,937 modification to an earlier awarded contract (N00024-10-C-4406) for a Docking Selected Restricted Availability to cover structural work and expanded repairs and maintenance in transit USS Gettysburg (CG-64).

This scope of work covers hull, electrical, machinery, electronics, ship alterations, and piping alteration and repair work.
