The
Newport News Shipbuilding division of Huntington Ingalls Industries
(HII) has been awarded with a $49.6 million contract award to start planning
for work on the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS George Washington
(CVN 73). Work under the contract includes planning, engineering and
shipboard inspections for work related with the defueling of the ship.
We are delighted to be competent to
start planning for the defueling of CVN 73 and consider this award as
the first step aiming the highly expected full award of the RCOH
