BAE
Systems, a defence company has been awarded by Britain’s navy a
contract award worth $584 million (£348 million,436 million euros), to build
three ships.
The three Offshore Patrol Vessels would
be utilised to combat terrorism, piracy and smuggling in the waters
around Britain as well as securing the nation’s interests overseas.
