The University of Cambridge awarded Vital Energi Utilities a contract award to develop its main infrastructure heat network.
Under the contract, Vital Energi is to
be accountable for the design, supply and installation of the main spine
of the district heating pipe network for the first stage of the North
West Cambridge Development in England after securing the £2.98m
contract.
An integrated energy centre with the
district heating network will distribute heat energy to the 3,000 homes
on the development site and will stretch to 6 km and deliver 20 MW of
