QinetiQ bags £33 million UK MoD simulation contract
QinetiQ, the defence, aerospace and security company has been awarded by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) a five-year, £33 million contract award to facilitate simulation training to the UK military.
Air and land mission training has been provided by QinetiQ for the last five years at Air Battlespace Training Centre at RAF Waddington in Lincoln, assisted by sub-contractors such as Boeing and Plexsys.
This recent contract will check the company carry on to deliver the training programme, officially known as Distributed Synthetic Air Land Training 2 (DSALT2). Front-line personnel gets the training formerly they are positioned on operations.
