Majis Industrial Services SAOC is the water other services provider at Sohar Industrial Port Area (SIPA). In pursuant to the policies of the Government to minimize effluent discharges to the marine environment, MAJIS is currently operating their own the RO plant facility on Plot 21 of the SIPA. The plant is designed to produce 12,000m3/d of potable water for PAEW and 8,000m3/d of process water for other tenants. However, due to an increased process water demand Majis has decided to reduce potable water production from this Facility and to produce more process water leaving a shortfall in the potable water supply which it intends to fulfil through this contract by having interim sea water RO plant of 5MLD capacity.
