The Abati Town Council, Manyara Region of the Prime Minister's office Regional Administration and Local Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has published an invitation for expression of interest from consultants for the execution of the Urban Local Government Strengthening Program (ULGSP) and for the preparation of the master plan in the town of Babati. The Government of Tanzania and its development partners have allocated funds for this project which will be used to make eligible payments under this contract. All parties interested in participating in this project must furnish all information establishing their credentials and capabilities to execute this project. It may be in the form of Brochures detailing assignments of a similar nature that has been successfully executed in the last three years along with details of client’s name and address where similar projects have been executed. It should also include details of skilled resources at disposal and sources of finance.
The selection process will be based on the Public Procurement act No.07 of 201 1 and Public Procurement (Selection and Employment of Consultants Regulations of 2013 Government Notice No.446.
Joint ventures or consortium bids are welcome, but a consultant cannot submit joint bids with more than one partner. This will lead to disqualification. The submitted letters of interest will be reviewed and then the list of short listed consultants will be released. These shortlisted consultants will then be invited to submit their proposals which will include the technical and the financial bid. This invitation letter will detail the terms of reference for this project.
All information may be obtained from the office of the town council between 7.30 am and 3.30 pm local time. The deadline for the submission of the expressions of interest is 10,00 hours local time on Friday 29th January, 2016 and will be opened in the presence of all bidders or their representatives who choose to attend at the office of the Town Council.
