Nepal-India Regional Trade and Transport Project (NIRTTP), a priority Project of Government of Nepal financed by World Bank/IDA, is seeking qualified and motivated national Consultants for the following three positions. Individual experts and firm's proposing individual experts:- Non-Tariff Measures Expert (NIRTTP/PCO/S/lND-2) - National/Full time for the whole project period/Service location at PCO/MoC

Key Qualification: i. At least Master‘s Degree either in International Trade, International Economics, Economics, International Business, International Trade Law. or other trade related discipline., ii. Minimum of two years working experience on trade facilitation. trade policy and regulations related issues and non tariff measures in trade related institution., iii. Good Knowledge of Trade Policy Analysis (Quantitatively)., iv. Efficiency in handling any Econometric Software. such as GTAP, STATA, EViews etc would be a good asset.

Environmental Safeguard Specialist (NIRTTP/PCO/S/lND-) - National/Intermittent for 90 working daysfService location at PCO/MoC

Key Qualification: i. Master’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering/Environmental Science/ Environmental management/ Environmental Assessment/ Forestry or related field with at least 7 years of experience in the related field and specific experience as environmental officer/environmental engineer/environmental specialist in at least three similar infrastructure works; OR at least Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering/Environmental Science/ Environmental management/ Environmental Assessment/ Forestry or related field with at least Io years of experience in the related field and specific experience as environmental officer/environmental engineer / environmental specialist in at least five similar infrastructure works; ii. Good knowledge of ElA/IEE., iii. Good command in IT application such as MS-office and other basic computer skills; iv. Experience in World Bank or other development partner-funded projects is preferable; v. Good presentation. interpersonal and communication skills; vi. Excellent knowledge of English, Nepali/local languages.

Social Safeguard Specialist: NIRTTP/PCO/S/lND-M - National \lntermittent for 70 working days\Service location at PCO/MoC

Key Qualification:- i. Master’s Degree in Social Science or equivalent with at least Io years of experience in the related field and specific experience as social safeguard officer or 7 years of experience in the related field and specific experience as social safeguard Specialist I consultant in at least three similar types of works; ii. Good knowledge of WB‘s social safeguard policies., iii. Good command in IT application such as MS~office and other basic computer skills; iv. Experience in World Bank or other development partner-funded projects is preferable; v. Good presentation. interpersonal and communication skills; vi. Excellent knowledge of English. Nepali/local languages.
