1.     The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward cost of the Regional Livelihood Resilience Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward the contract for Supply and Delivery of Livestock Vaccines.

2.     The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply and delivery of Livestock Vaccines to be delivered in Nairobi within 90 days from the contract signing as follow

Bidders have the option to bid for any one or more lots. Bids will be evaluated and contract(s) awarded on a lot by basis.
Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers (January 2011; Revised July 2014) Guidelines edition as per legal agreement] ("Procurement Guidelines"), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank's Policy on conflict of interest.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the Regional Pastoral Livelihoods Resilience Project Procurement Office situated at Hill Plaza, 10th Floor, Room 1006, Ngong Road, Nairobi between from Monday to Friday excluding weekends and public holidays from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of KES 10001= in cash or Bankers Cheque in favor of the Principal Secretary, State Department of Livestock at the cash office situated at Kilimo House, Lower ground floor; Cathedral road, Nairobi. Bids must be delivered to the address below or addressed to the Principal Secretary, State Department of Livestock; P.O. Box 34188-00100 Nairobi on or before 27th May 2016 at 10.00 a. m East African Time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders' designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at address below.

All bids must be accompanied by a "Bid Security" in the form of a Bank Guarantee of an amount shown below or an equivalent in a freely convertible currency. The bid security must be valid for 28 days beyond the validity of the tender.
