There is an increasing demand of hygienic processed meat products including pork in India and abroad. In view of the same the Government of Jharkhand looks forward for revival of Govt. Bacon Factory as a Meat Processing Hub at Kanke Ranchi on PPP Mode. In this regard it invites Expression of Interests (EOI) on the basis of "own model and own offer" from interested firms engaged in meat processing activities. There is an age-old tradition of rearing animals in general and pigs in particular in rural Jharkhand especially amongst tribal’s from whom the animals/poultry for this project may be procured. The superior quality pork native to Ranchi is a distinct Government will endeavor to facilitate all interested parties to set up such a project at the earliest. There is a combined single storey administrative and pork processing unit old (Repairable) building of Bacon Factory, Kanke, Ranchi situated in 4.08 acre area along with 5.44 open land (Total land area 9.52 acre).
