State has awarded Integra, Oregon based company, another contract to
assist government agencies to expand more bandwidth for its online
connections, covering both open and private networks.
Integra owns and operates metropolitan glass fiber networks across California and the West.
Integra won the first-phase contract award, in
January, which permits to seek government business through California
as a part of CALNET 3, a contract applied to assist the state
telecommunications partner program. That program was designed to help get
advance telecommunications services out to state and local agencies and
departments.
The California Department of Technology
Statewide Technology Procurement Division awards Integra with the second
contract which subjects to expand more broadband services, such as
Synchronous Optical Networking (SONET) ring connectivity, Metropolitan
Area Network (MAN) Ethernet, SONET point-to-point connectivity and
managed Internet services.
