Praxair,
Inc. is a large international industrial gases company from Danbury,
Connecticut has been contract awarded by NASA to supply liquid nitrogen and
liquid oxygen to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air
Force Station, Florida and Ames Research Center, California.
The project’s worth of $5.3 million with
probable performance duration of five years is a firm-fixed price
contract with an Economic Price Adjustments commence July 1.
An approximate quantity of 175,000
liters of liquid nitrogen and approximately 52,400 tons of liquid oxygen
will be supplied by PRAXAIR Inc. to support operations at the preceding
NASA centers and partner facilities. Oxygen serves as an oxidizer in
cryogenic rocket engines whereas the pressurization, pneumatic
actuation, purging and inerting and the cooling value is done using
