Delaware
Health and Social Services (DHSS) department signed a $147 million deal
with Hewlett-Packard business unit to help enforce a new system for
managing the state’s Medicaid enlistment applications and claims.
An interChange Medicaid Management
Information System (MMIS) will be set up by HP Enterprise other Services and
carry on serving as the financial agent for the Delaware’s health agency
under the contract award.
According to HP, the company and the
state are working in conjunction to yield benefits for more than 230,000
Medicaid recipients each year.
