InSysCo,
an Acentia company has been awarded a 5 year, $68 million contract by
the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) to provide database other services.
Under the Total Information Processing
Support Services (TIPSS-4) technology procurement partner program. The company
will carry on to facilitate services in evolving database, data
warehouse, and data mart technologies to assist the IRS’s IT Data
Delivery System (DDS) organization under Applications Development.
DDS and InSysCo will work in
collaboration to develop the IRS to a data-centric organization,
leveraging the advances of commodity computing, networking and parallel
database systems for data delivery. The identification and developing of
the data delivery service models, help in building new components and
processes in support of the IRS’ Data Strategy, the maintenance and
improvement of the present technical components and processes will be
