Statoil awards Mariner project to Aker Solutions

Aker Solutions have been contract awarded from Statoil to facilitate maintenance and upgrading other services for the Mariner oilfield development in the U K North Sea.

Aker Solution’s Aberdeen operations will manage the contract work. The five year framework deal also has extension options for a total of four years.

According to David Currie, regional president for Aker Solutions in the UK - The Mariner project is the biggest new offshore build up in the UK and will generate substantial job creation in the Aberdeen region, in more than a decade.
