The oil shale-fueled power plant worth $2.4 billion has received green signal from Jordan.
The cabinet has approved the signing of a
contract award for the construction of the 470 MW project by Enefit, says,
Energy and Mineral Resources minister, Mohammad Hamed.
The plant’s 470 megawatt capacity will
raise Jordan’s present installed power generation capacity of 3,200 MW
by 15% and to be set up a build-own-operate basis.
