ABB receives $78 million orders for Saudi power plants
The Zurich- based power and automation technology group, ABB has won an order costing around $78 million from Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).

ABB will provide transformers for two new combined.cycle power plants that will enhance transmission capacity around the capital, Riyadh, and nearby areas of the Central Region.

The order was placed in the second quarter of this year. The company will provide generator step-up (GSU) transformers, power transformers and station other service transformers for SEC’s combined- cycle power plants.

According to Bernhard Jucker, head of ABB’s Power Products division - More electricity to spread across consumers and match up demanding industrial and household need in the region will be facilitated by the availability of these transformers.
