Zain KSA inks $1.2 billion supply deals to upgrade networkZain Saudi Arabia announced that it has signed infrastructure supply projects costing SAR 4.5 billion to develop and broaden its network. Huawei, Nokia, NEC, Cisco Systems and Alcatel-Lucent are the vendors. The operator mentioned that it would use its personal financial resources to fund the deals.

According to Zain, Nokia will supply its Single Ran Advanced platform to refarm part of Zain’s 1,800 and 2,100 MHz frequencies to 4G ahead of the Hajj pilgrimage season in November.
